Direct contact between parents and camp counselors ensures a safe departure as well as providing an opportunity for camp counselors to touch-base directly with parents on a daily basis. For these reasons, we ask that parents (or supervising adult) sign campers in out directly with a camp counselors. The assigned camp counselor will carry the sign out sheet with them each day. Please be sure a responsible adult is available to check campers out of camp each day.

» Training

Athletes will take part in runs, trail runs and track sessions. Athletes will be monitored during training at all times and will be encouraged to stay hydrated. Proper dynamic stretching, foot drills and after run stretching will take place before and after all runs. At Wingate University we believe in high mileage and your athlete will take part in a similar week of training to the Wingate national qualifying cross country team. Campers will get the full college cross country athlete experience with a unique opportunity for Head Coaches to see your campers running talents.

» Staff

The staff at the camp will include the Wingate University Head Coaches as well as Wingate university student athletes from the cross country and track team. These members of staff will help guide campers and train campers to become the best runners they can be.
